Weibarst is a 110-year-old German family-owned company founded in 1901 and headquartered in Stockdorf near Munich, Germany, which develops and produces automotive components for the automotive industry. 2014, Weibarst was €2.5 billion worldwide, with sales of about €600 million in China.

    Webasto has two business units and four product categories: roof systems and heating systems. The roof systems business has two major product categories: sunroof systems (conventional sunroof and panoramic sunroof) and convertible folding roof systems; heating systems include park assisted heating systems and air conditioning systems.

   Currently, Webasto has 10 factories in China and supplies parts to 22 automakers.

Webasto is a pioneer in solar roofs. Back in 1989, the first solar roof was supplied by Webasto for the Audi 80 Coupé sports car.
